Being a part of Monroe Community Power means taking control over your electricity choices by using the collective energy demand of residents and small businesses to:

PERSONAL CHOICE: WHAT PARTICIPATION MEANS FOR YOU
All eligible residential and small business utility customers in municipalities with active programs are automatically enrolled in Monroe Community Power, receiving electricity supply at competitive rates. Your utility company (RG&E or National Grid) still:
Delivers your electricity supply sourced from the default supplier.
Provides repair service
Manages billing: You’ll continue to receive your monthly electricity bill from—and remit payment to—your utility company (RG&E or National Grid)
Who is not automatically enrolled in the program?
Some utility customers in the participating communities must take action in order to take advantage of the program’s negotiated terms. To participate, please enroll here.
Not automatically enrolled in Monroe Community Power:
Time of Use Customers
Those who have selected an alternate supplier/ESCO
Some commercial and industrial customers
Those who have a block on their utility account
